Volunteer-Connect is a free app designed by high schoolers from Saint Francis in order to ease people’s desperate search for volunteer opportunities in the Bay Area, CA . With an open database that can grow based on outside inputs, Volunteer-Connect is constantly growing to provide users with the perfect volunteer agency. Volunteer-Connect finds optimal agencies based on what days the user is available, the location of the user, the number of hours the user would like to volunteer for, and the type of volunteer work the user wishes to do (elderly, children, developmentally disabled, etc). Furthermore, Volunteer-Connect even has a mode for the procrastinators! (; With advanced search, the user can find the agency that will help finish hours in the most efficient manner before it is due (: (for you high schoolers that have hours due in a short amount of time)
